Christmas morning '07

A wonderful, warm family Christmas morning in Mendon. I'm so lucky to still be able to share Santa's visit with grandchildren. Without the little ones, Christmas morning would just be a recovery from the evening before. We had 27 for dinner on Christmas Eve...our traditional Italian celebration with extended family, lots of food and good wishes. (Because I was in the kitchen all day and evening, I didnt' take any pictures of the gathering.) After the dinner, the children exchanged gifts, then an adult Yankee Swap, more food (sweets) and coffee. Other folks arrived and the commaraderie extended till 11 p.m.

Sabrina and Adriana slept in until about 8 a.m. We gathered mugs of hot coffee and sweet breads and retired to the living room and the gifts.

Adriana knit mom's Christmas gift.

Happy New Year to you all. I'm enjoying seeing the world-wide celebrations on TV...all the fireworks and jubilations. (Now, I'll have to train myself to write a new date on my checks.)
