Weekend update

We just finished a lovely, warm (reached 80s) week, warm and sunny. That was just a teaser since forecast is now for a week of 50s and rain, at least 5 days of it. We had a glorious April, although too dry for this time of year.

Today Tony & I spent a lovely afternoon in Putnam.
The patio is finished and lots of folks were using it, although a little too cool for me. With large pots of trees and other plantings, it looks very much like a garden or park. We know that that spot will be popular in the cool summer nights. Chris is planning to set out lights, probably the copper garden lamps that she had at the previous location. They should lend another element of class to the area.


A jazz band (3 pieces) entertainmed from 1-3 pm. They were good! Actually, it was because this group was playing this afternoon that we chose to take our little trip to CT. Dad and I have been wanting to take in some of the live entertainment. The evening gigs are probably too late for us, anyway.
