On Sunday, the Bisbee children hosted a 50th wedding anniversary party for their parents at Lisa & Jim's home. Lots of friends, cousins, aunts and uncles gathered to enjoy this happy occasion. Bill was totally aware of the entire event, participated in conversations, greeted old friends, and was enthralled by the DVD presentation of their lives together that the children had developed. The video and pictures covered their engagement, wedding, births and growths of their children, children's weddings and grandchildren.
I had made plans to include Tony from California via Skype, but when I attempted to access Jim's network, of course it was secure and needed a password, which Jim didn't know. He said that after the network was setup, he didn't remember the long default password, and never changed it to something more memorable. Unfortunately, Tony was not able to be a 'part' of the celebration. I intend to use Skype again on Christmas Eve to show Guilia and her family just what she can expect when she spends her Christmas '09 with us. At least the network at the cafe is open.
The weather was mild and sunny. Everyone had a grand time.
In the course of the afternoon's conversation, plans were solidified for the gathering of the same clan for Christmas Eve, in Putnam. It looks like we'll have a big crowd. And that's not so far away, is it?

Wish I'd known about it! I would have at least sent a card...
