In the beginning...

I'm creating this blog to maintain a weekly chat session with sisters that we've started a couple of years ago. It seems that this may be a quicker way to keep in touch with family and friends. We've (sisters, cousins, daughters and sons, and friends) have been posting weekly journals for some time now. With us all scattered across the USA (and an occasional deployment of a dear marine), our e-mail journals filled our need to stay-in-touch. Now, with a daughter's urging, I'm taking it one step up. So here goes......
We have a summer visitor in our home from Italy. Tony's cousin's son, Luigi, 27 years old, is a language teacher (Italian, French, Spanish with 2 yrs teaching experience in French high schools) who hopes to stay long enough to improve his English proficiency. To this end, Luigi has applied to several schools to a year-long language teaching job. Prospects look good. Applications and resumes are in, now awaiting interviews. The first to be this coming week at our local high school that is looking for an Italian teacher. How appropriate!
He has an ardent admirer in Adriana. She has taken him under her wing to show her all stuff American. Tonight they are playing badminton in the yard. Both will sleep well tonight.l

Hooray! It looks great! I think you'll like playing with this. If you click on Settings at the top, you'll be able to add lists, links, photos, etc. to the side bar or header.
