After a family dinner (Chris, David, Adriana and Steve joined us), the guys retired to the TV to watch the Patriots/Miami game. Before the 2nd half, they were asleep in their chairs. Guess that says a lot about the excitement of this one (42-7 at half-time).
Our weather is still unconventional. Near 80 today. Will be 80+ tomorrow. The foliage is spectacular. It's the most vibrant that we've seen in some years. Reports are that northern NE fared less well in the color department. The 'peepers' should come to Blackstone Valley in Central Mass. I expect that the northeast corner or CT is as pretty, at least the part that we travel through when going to Putnam. On Thursday, when Ginger and Judy came to Mendon, we went to Lookout Rock, otherwise known as King Philip's Rock, in Uxbridge. There is a magnificent overlook of the Blackstone Valley and the foliage along the river. This is part of the Blackstone River National Heritage Corridor, Blackstone Valley State Heritage Park. There are some wonderful hiking trails through this system, although in the autumn, one must be on the lookout for hunters. Sunday is the best time to hike.
Adriana is staying overnight tonight. We're working on her Halloween costume this week. She wants to be a cat and I'm having difficulty finding black sweatpants and sweatshirts in children's sizes. Adults in black is OK, children's is not. May have to resort to dying our own. That will be a lesson in itself.
Go Patriots, Go Red Sox!

I'm surprised you can't find black children's sweats. Have you tried WalMart, Michaels ( they usually have sweat shirts in all colors, not sure about sweatpants ) Or ordering from Lands End?
We're just starting to see some color on the trees here. Not much yet. Still too hot. And our water situation is VERY serious. Praying for rain.
