I know, I know, it's been awhile! Anyway, since not much happens in this little burg, I feel like I'm being redundant when I post the same thing every week.
Our weather is lovely (60s-70s), mostly sunny breezy. Our pollen season is just about over, much to the relief of many of us. The garden is sprouting, the grill is in use, windows are washed, woolens put away, and we're just about ready for our "staycation" (I love that new term). Isabelle asked about gas prices in other parts...we're paying $3.95+ here. Unlike Isabelle, we're not spending our stimulus on things made in China (wasn't that a neat trick...lend USA money so that we can spend it on Chinese goods?). I'm putting some of it into the heating oil account for next winter. Don't even want to think about what that will be.
We have 4 high school graduations this year, 3 of them on June 7th. My college 50th reunion is that weekend, and since I was a class officer and am making a PP presentation at the alumni dinner, I'm heading to Bridgewater for that weekend. Tony is going to North Carolina for Eric's graduation, Christina and Steve will represent the rest of the clan at Kelly Bisbee's graduation party, and other 2 on our street will get our best wishes and a monogrammed gift.
After many med appointments and tests, Tony is now scheduled for a TURP on June 16, the same as was done in 1991. He's feeling well, his PSAs have been good, but that prostate has been growing, again. It's always something!
We're making plans to visit Nova Scotia and PEI with David and Sue this summer. David's progress through his chemo treatments have been nothing short of miraculous, and he's still feeling well enough to plan this trip. It's a go! I love Nova Scotia, and particularly Cape Breton Island.
